SENIOR VP OF REGULATORY & SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS
Dr. Noor Obaidi serves as Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs at the Metis Foundation, where she provides organizational leadership and oversight for the development, pre-award and post-award administration, and management of research programs and sponsored projects. In this capacity, she supports strategic planning, regulatory coordination, and compliance across funded studies, serving as a liaison with principal investigators, institutional offices, and funding agencies to ensure alignment with applicable policies, agreements, and sponsor requirements.
Prior to joining the Metis Foundation, Dr. Obaidi earned her medical degree in 2009 from the Baghdad School of Medicine and completed clinical training through the Royal Jordanian Ministry of Health. She later pursued a career in basic and translational research and completed her PhD in Translational Science in 2022 at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
In addition to her executive leadership role, Dr. Obaidi continues her passion for research as a Clinical Research Scientist, with a primary focus on wound healing to improve acute burn and wound outcomes. Her scientific work includes planning and designing research studies, performing data analysis, and contributing to manuscript and grant development.
In her free time, Dr. Obaidi studies fine art with a focus on impressionism and enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
