Larissa Lopez joined the Metis Foundation in 2025 as a Procurement Specialist, where she supports research awards by managing purchasing, coordinating with vendors, and facilitating travel to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget. She brings a strong foundation in operations, supply chain management, and business analytics, allowing her to identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders. 

Larissa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Operations and Supply Chain Management, as well as a Master of Business Administration, from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her analytical mindset and attention to detail play a key role in supporting Metis’ mission-driven research efforts. Outside of work, Larissa enjoys staying active, traveling to new destinations, and exploring new experiences that push her beyond her comfort zone. She also loves unwinding with a good thriller or romance novel.
