Metis Foundation Attends ARPA-H Healthy Buildings Demo DayThe Metis Foundation recently participated in ARPA-H’s Healthy Buildings Demo Day, gaining firsthand insight into the agency’s BREATHE (Boosting Resilience Against Airborne Threats for Healthier Environments) program. The event showcased emerging technologies and research focused on improving indoor air quality and detecting airborne health threats — work with direct implications for the safety of the spaces where people live, work, learn, and receive care.
The Demo Day offered an opportunity to connect with researchers, innovators, and industry leaders driving this field forward, and to explore how these advancements can strengthen public health resilience on a broader scale.
For the Metis Foundation, the event also underscored the relevance of this work to our own mission. Through our ongoing collaborations with Uniformed Services University, Brooke Army Medical Center, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and Madigan Army Medical Center, we continue to support research and innovation aimed at building healthier environments for military medicine and beyond.
